Reusable Eco Christmas Crackers you can pull!
Hello I am Bea Thackeray, packaging designer with a love for experimenting with cardboard.
Some years ago I gave myself the challenge to design a reusable alternative to the disposable Christmas cracker and launched my business in 2013. Since then I have continued to improve and develop my designs and watch the interest grow, as more of us are actively searching for products that are kind to the environment. No one was googling ‘reusable crackers’ when I started my business!
‘Keep This Cracker’ pulls open without tearing, the patented construction allows you to reuse it by simply replacing the snap and feeding a fresh one through the slots at each end. No glue or fuss, they can be easily assembled and filled with your own choice of gifts. The crackers are flat-packed in packs of 6 in a reusable card wallet. Each cracker comes with a low-noise, pet-friendly ecosnap®.
These crackers are designed to work with standard noisy snaps too. (28cm long)
Reusable Eco Christmas Crackers with low noise ecosnaps
My latest invention… the ‘ecosnap®’ is a low-noise snap that pops without the loud bang. I developed this idea in response to feedback from customers who were telling me how their pets were distressed by standard crackers. But it's not only our pets, many people with conditions such as Autism, PTSD, ADHD can't tolerate the noise either. The ecosnaps are made in the UK from recyclable cardboard (exclusive to Keep This Cracker).
All my designs are printed in the UK and packed in my home studio in Manchester. The crackers are plastic free and recyclable, printed with water/vegetable based inks on paper from responsible sources. The ribbons are made in the UK woven with yarns made from 100% recycled used plastic bottles.
