Meet Kate Wainwright

FINE JEWELLERY SUSTAINABLY HANDCRAFTED FROM RECYCLED SILVER & GOLD IN THE HEART OF SUSSEX

Kate Wainwright is an eco-aware British jewellery designer and maker who believes that beautiful jewellery doesn't have to cost the earth. In line with this belief, all of Kate's jewellery is made using recycled silver, gold and ethically sourced gemstones. Kate handcrafts all of her designs at her Grandfather's old workbench in her home workshop in Sussex.

The packaging Kate uses to gift-wrap and send out orders is minimal, purposeful and sustainably sourced. Kate respectfully asks that anyone receiving orders reuses and recycles any packaging responsibly. Kate's jewellery is also vegan friendly with the compounds used in the polishing process being free from animal derivatives.

JEWELLERY THAT WILL LAST GENERATIONS, NOT JUST SEASONS

Kate first started making jewellery in 2008 as a creative outlet and soon fell in love with metalsmithing. Over the years this hobby grew into a business and Kate Wainwright Jewellery officially launched in the summer of 2017 from Kate's home workshop in the heart of Sussex. This is where Kate spends much of her time hand-piercing, forging and soldering recycled silver and gold at her Grandfathers old workbench to create beautiful pieces of jewellery that will last a lifetime. The La Lune collection is especially close to our hearts with a portion of each sale being donated to Tommy's The Baby Charity.

Delivery

Please note; Unless otherwise stated each piece of jewellery is handcrafted to order. It is estimated that orders will be dispatched within two weeks from the order date. If you select next day or Saturday delivery options this doesn't change the dispatch time-frame for your order.

Packaging. All orders are inclusive of gift-wrapping ready for gifting or keeping. Orders will be posted in a beautiful branded box wrapped with natural raffia and dried flowers. Orders are then packaged in an unbranded recycled cardboard postal box.

All orders are posted via a signed for service therefore requiring delivery upon receipt, if delivery is not made due to failure to collect or accept any re-delivery costs incurred will be payable by the customer.

Please note that earrings are excluded from the exchange policy due to hygiene reasons and we are unable to refund earring purchases.

Environmental & Ethical. Kate Wainwright Jewellery ethical and environmentally friendly production is of the utmost importance. We strive to use recycled and sustainably sourced silver and gold as well as other products and biodegradable packaging. Metals used are always recycled. Stones are sourced from trusted ethical suppliers. Packaging is biodegradable and from sources that recycle, please recycled or reuse packaging from your orders.

Silver and gold sheet and wire are sourced from Cooksongold’s recycled ranges or recycled in-house from me from repurposed jewellery that is melted in-house. Chains used are sourced from Curteis who produce recycled silver and recycled gold chains in-house in the UK. Recycled metal findings are sourced from Seek 2 Sustain or produced by myself.
