I am Karen, Painter of Flowers, Cactus and Gardens.

I grew up in Barbados and I have a degree in printed textiles........5 years ago I started painting and I have not looked back.  It is my escape and brings me peace......The exploration of colour is central to my work, it challenges and excites me and it is a huge part of the reason that I find flowers and the natural world so inspiring.......I love salty hair and warm nights......I have a sequin addiction and a weakness for chocolate buttons......I secretly love the Carpenters and I wish I could hang out with David Attenborough.....I now live in London with my husband and my two girls........I don't have salty hair very often anymore, or warm nights........But I wouldn't be anywhere else.
