Handcrafted original designs
Kalating is a brainchild of two leather lovers and life partners conceived in 2014 to create leather bags that are a perfect marriage of class and value. We achieve this through an ‘US to YOU’ principle selling the bags we create directly to the customer with the end user reaping benefits from quality leather and craftsmanship for the full money spent.

It is at our workshop in Staffordshire where the creative process ensues and our original designs are born. We first created 3 designs of men’s leather briefcases back in 2014 and those lovely few customers who bought it said great things about it, so we worked on creating more designs every passing year which developed into an unique collection of briefcases, backpacks for men and handbags and convertible backpacks for women. We combine the skills and quality craftsmanship conscientiously chosen by us from around the world to bring our pride and passion to life.
In 2022 we decided to join THE marketplace for creators and designers in the UK- NotOnTheHighStreet to showcase our collection of 40 original design bags made with the planet’s most beautiful by-product - Leather.
Our mantra is 'go the extra mile for the customer's happiness because it's worth it' and it has always been worth it. When a customer writes to us telling how joyous they were or their partner was when they saw the bag for the first time, thanking us for bringing our work and these designs into their life, it’s all been worth it for us.

From Us to You with love
Here’s how we do it...
All orders are received by us at our workroom in Cold Meece in rural Staffordshire. We then start preparing your order and aim to complete within 1-3 working days based on the design you have chosen and your personalisation request. Once the digital artwork is ready, the design you have ordered is personalised using laser engraving for handwriting personalisation and debossed or engraved for initials monogramming orders.
Every bag then goes through a series of careful and attentive checks and quality control before it leaves us and starts its journey to you to ensure every element of the bag is just perfect and it is a love at first sight when you hold it for the first time - A piece which you will be proud to carry for years or be proud to gift to a special someone in your life.
Every piece is packed in a satin cloth presentation dust bag and is wrapped in a soft tissue paper for the big reveal of what we call 'a bundle of joy', when the package arrives.
