Julia de Klerk is a colour loving designer-maker from Hampshire, UK. She creates eye-catching jewellery and graphic style decor made to order from her studio in Petersfield, UK.
Her cheerful designs are created to bring brightness to any occasion. Her jewellery is laser-cut from highest quality Perspex acrylic and assembled with sterling silver findings. Her decor items are made to order and any offcuts are re-used or recycled.
Julia's business journey began in 2018 when she refined her design style to produce a commercial jewellery collection in acrylic. Inspired by her love of colour, art & craft techniques and bold illustration she has recently introduced a new collection of party decor and colourful gifts.
Julia has worked with shops, museums and galleries throughout the UK and internationally, including: Tate Galleries, The National Theatre, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Dovecot Studios Edinburgh and Cincinnati Art Museum, USA.
Julia solely uses recyclable jewellery boxes and packaging for all her items. She saves her offcuts of Perspex and silver from the making process to be re-used and recycled. She also takes extra care to source her materials and packaging from local or UK based firms.
Each Julia de Klerk piece is designed to last so she also offers a jewellery polish up or repair service on any item that may get damaged in the future.
