A beautiful serving dish, hand thrown in high-fired stoneware. Immensley practical because you can and stack them in the fridge - the utlimate space saver!
Hand thrown at her South Wales studio, in rich stoneware with stunning sky-blue 'Chun' glaze. I develop all my own glazes and this glaze type has a history of over 1400 years. The 'Chun' blue colour develops because the glaze reflects blue light out of the glaze to the eye giving the glaze a depth and richness that a pigment cannot supply. ' Chun glazes are very deep and fluid, and during firing they run down the wall of the pot, giving a rich build up of glaze at the bottom of the piece. This gives a depth and complexity to the surface. Part of my 'Red Flash' range. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

Hand thrown from stoneware clay from France and using original glazes developed by Joanna Howells, these make wonderful practical and special gifts. They are dishwasher safe and can be used in the microwave. These are all indivdually thrown and carved and glazed, so each one is unique and will not be identical to the image shown.
