Product description
A stylish retro print featuring Belka and Strelka – the famous Soviet space dogs.
Belka (Whitey) and Strelka (Arrow) spent a day in space aboard Sputnik 5 on August 19, 1960 before safely returning to Earth. They were accompanied by a grey rabbit, 40 mice, 2 rats, flies and a number of plants and fungi. All passengers survived. Strelka went on to have six puppies, one of whom was named Pushinka and presented to President John F. Kennedy's daughter Caroline. Pushinka's descendants are still living today. This print would be perfect for a space obsessed kid’s room or for any lover of space, science and timeless vintage style!
Variations
