Hello, I am Lisa! I am the real life actual human being behind the brand House of Payne!

Spending one entire decade as an in-house Textile designer for the homeware market (wallpaper, bedding and all that jazz). In 2019 I decided it was time to take the self-employed leap, carrying on with homeware textile design however on a freelance basis.

Then in 2020, still missing something, I decided to buy a silk screen and started splashing paint around. This was my form of therapy. I created a series of bold and bright abstract screen prints and that is how HOP was born.

That first series of bright, playful, fun abstracts is what got the ball rolling. Since I have painted nudes, quotes and personalised kids prints. What brings it all together is my love for bright colours, mark-making and that handmade texture and quality you get with painting by hand.

Being kind to our planet is always at the forefront of my mind. All prints are packaged in recycled and/or biodegradable materials.
