Hoppily are a craft beer subscription club focused on curating a selection of the best local beers from independent Essex and London based breweries.

Naturally, brothers Mark & Chris co-founded Hoppily in the pub, having spent an evening putting the world to rights. Chris was talking about his recent trip to Canada and was extoling the virtues of some of the great beers he’d sampled on this trip and was frustrated that he couldn't find any outside of a Toronto bar to bring home to share – tasting beer is better than talking about it, after all.

This got them thinking about their local craft beer market, and how, outside the M25, beers from London are not easily found and, inside the M25, you’d struggle to find some of the great beers brewed in Essex – this had to change! Our aim is spread the message of the many small craft breweries and help them reach a new, wider audience.

Fate often has a hand in these things – and it just so happened that technologist Alan (based in Ottawa, Canada) was visiting Mark in the UK, and following another evening spent in the pub Hoppily was born!
