About

“Inspiring creativity through the art of making.”

I’m Sarah Harper, a mosaic artist based in Milton Keynes and the founder of Honey Mosaics. Since launching in 2018, I’ve had the joy of working with communities, schools, and hospitals to create large-scale public art projects – always with the aim of inspiring others to discover their creativity.

From my beautiful garden studio (built with love by my talented husband!), I design and handcraft a wide range of mosaics. Each piece is created with care and can be personalised, making them unique and thoughtful gifts for special occasions. I also offer bespoke commissions if you’re looking for something truly one-of-a-kind.

Alongside my finished pieces, I’ve developed a collection of mosaic craft kits for children and adults. Perfect for beginners and creative souls alike, these kits make it easy to enjoy the art of mosaic at home. I also run workshops from my studio, where I love to share my passion for this timeless craft.

“A lifelong passion for art, inspiring others through the beauty of mosaic.”

Becoming an artist was always my dream. From a young age, I could always be found in the art room, spending every spare moment creating – often working on colourful silk batiks. With encouragement from my teachers, it felt natural to follow my love of craft through education, and I was incredibly proud to receive a place at Central Saint Martins in London. After graduating with a degree in textiles, my passion for colour and texture was firmly cemented.

I went on to spend years in the fashion industry, but I often felt something was missing – the hands-on creativity I had always craved. Returning to adult education, I began exploring stained and fused glass, which also introduced me to mosaics. The moment I discovered this art form, I knew I had found my true creative path.

In 2018, I founded Honey Mosaics, giving me the freedom to do what I love every day. Today, I combine my love of design, colour and texture to create unique handmade mosaics, personalised gifts, and mosaic kits that
