What Dreams are made of........

Here at Holly Blue we pride ourselves in producing beautifully handmade iconic childrens furniture. When Ed and Kate Knight needed full sized beds for their childen they looked around for a bed that a child wanted, and not being able to find anything suitable Ed decided to make the girls their very own beds.

Even now after five years the girls still inspire new designs. These keep Ed and his team at Holly Blue busy developing these into the products you see here.

Our range now contains beds, wardrobes, chests of drawers and a stunning boat sofa. Holly Blue designs and creates iconic furniture to inspire and feed a child's imagination.

From beautiful fairy tale beds with toadstool houses to unique beds inspired by the sea - complete with working aquariums and artificial fish. Inspiration comes a hundred different thoughts, pictures and snapshots of life. Typically it takes around 2 years to develop an initial idea into a piece of furniture. Holly Blue normally has 3 or 4 items in development at any one time. Not all these make it to general sale, "Especially with my childrens high standards," laughs Ed.

Holly Blue tries to provide more than just a place to sleep - they are amazing places to play; fairy beds with toadstool houses, are complete with three furnished and lit rooms.

For young defenders of the realm, there is the Castle Bed.pull the battlement forward and the castle forms in front of your eyes. The built in night lights in the head and footboards illuminate the windows and the ramparts.

Holly Blue has also a bespoke department so if you have a specific requirement from a simple bedside tables with a twist or taking entire rooms and turning them a child's delight please get in contact.

Recently we undertook a bespoke children's bedroom and turned it into a medieval castle complete with Dragons! We fit three single beds into the space, lots of storage and space saving features plus lighting for each bed.
