Helen Penny is a small, one-women led brand. From customer service to construction, design to dispatch – everything you see here is down to little old me!
• Thoughtful design •
Good dogs deserve good design. Dogs just wanna have fun and their accessories should celebrate their weird and wonderful world.
You won’t find items like this anywhere else – they’re illustrated, designed and constructed in-house.
• Ethically made •
Designed with wellbeing in mind; all materials are selected to be immensely comfortable and kind to fur. Everything is proudly made by hand in London, with fabrics from ethical sources.

Back in the 90s, I was obsessed with two things: making things & convincing my Mum to let me get a dog.
In a ploy to distract me from the latter, my Nan would teach me a mad mix of creative techniques after school. She was very much into the DIY-ethos – I never saw that woman sit down!
Fast-forward 10 years, as a fresh baby-faced Illustration graduate, I had the chance to rescue a pug from a life of breeding (finally – a dog!). Despite her unfortunate past, Wilma was a total icon. Her weird and wonderful ways became the centre of my world and shaped the trajectory of my twenties.
Pets have such a positive impact on our lives, but that bond is often overlooked. I decided it necessary to give pets the attention they deserve.
So I followed my Nan’s DIY legacy; I started making things to help people celebrate their pets – and began a brand.

Each pillow portrait is hand-drawn using a graphics tablet, then digitally printed onto an ultra soft velvet fabric before it’s sewn and stuffed, creating a perfectly huggable, squishy likeness of your pup!
