Innovative Lighting and Home Accessories designed and handmade on the South East coast.
Based in Folkestone’s Creative Quarter in Kent, South-East England, Heather specialises in constructed textiles. Dedicated to craftsmanship and cutting-edge design, we aim to provide innovative luxury lighting and accessories for the contemporary interior. Our ‘Home’ and ‘Reclaimed’ collections incorporate traditional processes with a contemporary aesthetic, each piece is made by hand with bespoke and custom options available.
With a focus on sustainability, recycled and reclaimed materials are sourced where possible such as our recycled cotton cord and reclaimed vintage frames. Our Reclaimed Collection gives old shades a new lease of life, discarded vintage lampshades are stripped back, given a fresh coating and knotted with a choice of yarn in a range of colours and finishes.
Education, Research and Workshops
Heather's specific interests lie in the link between making, health, and wellbeing. A desire to inspire others through teaching has led to a range of exciting workshops for students and creatives in partnership with others. Heather (MA RCA, FHEA) works as a Senior Lecturer with numerous educational institutions and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority.
After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2009 with an MA in Knitted Textiles, Heather went on to collaborate with Fashion Designer and fellow RCA graduate, Jane Bowler. Heather works closely with Jane, creating innovative pieces that incorporate her tactile fabrics and processes with the brands' trademark materials and diverse design aesthetic. The duo also run a series of experimental workshops in the settings of Jane's East London studio, sharing their passion for unconventional materials and experimental processes.
