I've been making jewellery professionally since 2002 and I genuinely love it.

Each design starts with a period of research. I take hundreds of photos and draw loads of pictures to make sure everything looks just right.

I spent my childhood making things with beads and fimo, collecting cartoons and drawing in front of the telly. I later studied some pretty diverse subjects, including welding, genetics, statistics and textiles. I also spent a year working as a stand-up comic.

I love travel - it has influenced a lot of my work. Japan has been particularly important to me - I visit as often as possible.

A lot of pieces have special meanings or significance and all have a story behind their conception. I appreciate the importance of how a piece feels and falls, its weight and how it looks from the back - and even when it's not being worn!

My hope is that my work will make you feel happy. It gives me so much pleasure to create it!
