Hello there! Happy Piece is a socially conscious homewares brand that sells ethically made, eco-friendly products, made in Rwanda. We specialise in handcrafted, woven products made from natural and sustainable materials.

I founded Happy Piece after visiting Rwanda and meeting genocide survivors living in poverty, struggling to make a living. They had completed a development and training program with a local NGO and were making beautiful products but had limited means to sell them. I wanted to help them reach a wider market, so Happy Piece was born!

Happy Piece is about finding small ways to invite happiness into your day. Our products make great gifts, not only are they beautifully handcrafted but each one tells a story of the woman that made them. It’s a story about perseverance, dignity and the will to do something to change the course of their lives.

Happy Piece has been featured in House Beautiful, Mollie Makes, Make Jewellery Magazine, Babble.com and Heart Home magazine.

All our products are made in limited quantities by a small cooperative in Rwanda that follows fair trade principles.
