GIBIE was founded by Hitesh Anand with a mission to change the disastrous textile dyeing industry.
GIBIE's founder, Hitesh Anand, worked in the textiles industry for over 7 years. He saw the disastrous implications of textile dyeing on the environment. He saw the workers suffering from skin and respiratory diseases. That is when he decided to make a change. He started studying alternative dyeing methods and came across an ancient Indian dyeing practice that was 100% natural and good for our skin. The practice was traditional and required some modern upgrades. After trying and testing new ways to make this practice fit for modern manufacturing for almost 3 years, we planned to launch GIBIE.
GIBIE is world's only bath linen brand that makes Ayurvedic herbal dyed terry towels.
We are proud to share that in our dyeing units, we are able to reuse almost all of the water unlike synthetic dyeing practice which involves high volumes of water contamination. To give you number, for each bath towel we manufacture, we can save approximately 100-200 litres of water from getting contaminated.
