Hello and welcome to Floppsie Moppsie!

I'm Helen, the designer and creative mind behind Floppsie Moppsie, a small independent business based in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

I started Floppsie Moppsie back in 2013 with a simple idea – to create beautiful, thoughtful and slightly different gifts that you wouldn't necessarily find on the high street. I've always had a huge passion for design and creativity, and I love turning an idea into something that makes somebody smile.

Over the years, my collections have grown and evolved, but my love of creating original designs and offering something a little bit different has always remained at the heart of what I do.

A Little Different, A Lot More Personal

I've always believed the best gifts are the ones that feel personal. The ones that show you've really thought about the person you're buying for, rather than simply picking something off a shelf.

That's why personalisation is such a big part of Floppsie Moppsie.

Whether it's a favourite pet's name, a special date, a meaningful message or a few words that make someone laugh, those little details can turn an everyday item into something really special.

My collection includes personalised mugs, cushions, hanging decorations, home accessories and thoughtful keepsakes, alongside gifts for birthdays, Christmas, new homes and those little occasions that deserve celebrating.

Not everything has to be personalised, though! I also love creating fun, contemporary designs that make lovely gifts just as they are. From cute and quirky to more understated and stylish, I like to offer a little something for everyone.

A Special Love for Our Four-Legged Friends

If there's one thing you'll notice when browsing Floppsie Moppsie, it's that I have a real soft spot for animals!

Pets are such an important part of our lives. They make us laugh, keep us company, get up to all sorts of mischief and become very much part of the family. I think they deserve to be celebrated just as much as the humans in our lives.

One of the things that inspired my pet collections was noticing how difficult it could be to find lovely gifts featuring particular breeds of dogs and cats.

I wanted to offer more choice, especially for people who adore their pets and would love something that reminds them of their own furry companion.

That's why I've developed designs celebrating lots of different breeds, personalities and lovable little faces.

Whether you're looking for a gift for a devoted dog mum, a proud cat dad, a friend who's obsessed with their four-legged companion or a little treat for yourself, I hope you'll find something that feels just right.

And whilst pets have a special place in my heart, Floppsie Moppsie is about much more than animal-themed gifts. I love designing for all sorts of interests and occasions, so there's always something new finding its way into the shop.

Designed with Personality and Care

Every design starts with an idea, often inspired by everyday life, a particular animal, a funny saying or simply something I think would make a lovely gift.

Living and working in Somerset, with the beautiful coastline and countryside nearby, provides plenty of inspiration. I'm lucky to have a creative studio where I can spend my days experimenting with ideas, developing new collections and bringing designs to life.

My style is a mixture of contemporary, playful and charming, sometimes with a little humour thrown in!

I love beautiful colours, clean designs and the small details that make a product feel individual rather than mass-produced.

I don't want Floppsie Moppsie to be about ordinary gifts with a name simply added. I want the designs themselves to be lovely, with personalisation adding that extra thoughtful touch.

I take pride in what I create and care about how each finished product looks. After all, when you order a gift for someone special, you want it to be something you're genuinely excited to give.

Small Business, Personal Service

One of my favourite things about running Floppsie Moppsie is the personal side of it.

When you shop with me, you're supporting a real person and a small independent creative business, rather than a faceless company.

Behind the designs, photographs, product descriptions and new ideas is me, Helen, doing something I genuinely love.

I understand that personalised gifts are often bought for important occasions, and I know how much those little details matter.

Whether you're choosing the perfect wording, deciding on a design or looking for something slightly different, I want your experience to feel easy, friendly and enjoyable.

I also know that sometimes you have an idea in your head but can't quite find what you're looking for.

Many of my designs can be personalised with names, dates or your own special wording, and I'm always happy to discuss individual requests and bespoke ideas where possible.

Sometimes the smallest change can make a gift feel completely unique, and I love being able to help with that.

Floppsie Moppsie has been part of my life since 2013, and I'm incredibly grateful that something which began with my love of design has allowed me to create gifts for so many different people and occasions.

There's something really lovely about knowing that a design I've created here in Somerset might become someone's favourite mug, brighten up their sofa, celebrate a much-loved pet or be wrapped up and given to someone special.

That's what makes it all worthwhile.
