Dóttir Studio is my small ceramics studio. I make whimsical, storytelling and emotive ceramic pieces to bring a smile, sense of wonder and imagination to your home.

Dóttir is Icelandic for 'daughter' as I set up my studio after my daughter was born. Iceland is a special place for my family, it's a place where we believe magic exists. It is this magic that inspires my work.

Everything is made in small batches, by hand from start to finish. This means no two pieces are the same, making your item unique and full of personality. I work from my home studio in the garden, with the company of my pug, Talula.

I build my pieces by hand; either by coiling shapes or building with slabs. Then I hand paint, glaze and finish with gold lustre. There is a lot of care and attention that goes into every piece which I hope means you love your piece as much as I enjoyed making it.
