Devon Distillery produces the UK's first and only version of the Italian after-dinner drink, grappa. It is a grape marc spirit, being made in Devon we call it DAPPA. DAPPA has a young flavour and aroma that still presents complexity and depth. Distilled by hand using a custom designed and crafted copper still. Using only the finest grape skins from across England, quality is at the heart of the production process. 2013 was the very first vintage produced in the UK, made in only very small quantities has made these bottles a very limited edition.
DAPPA is a preferred drink of those that usually enjoy brandy, scotch, schnapps, eau de vie. Best served after dinner with an espresso coffee or dark chocolate, but can also be enjoyed as the base in cocktails. Many people having tried grappa in Italy have been astonished by the quality of the product we have made here in the UK, most in fact preferring DAPPA over the other products previously tasted.
