Date Coffee Co (DCC) is an online company based on the Surrey/Hampshire border. We specialise is the roasting of Dafé. What is Dafé (life café but with a 'd'), we hear you ask?
Dafé is a 100% caffeine-free coffee alternative made from the roasted up-cycled seeds from dates. Fresh and delicious, Dafé tastes somewhere between chocolate coffee and tea.
DCC co-founders Rupert and Rachael are keen cyclists and runners. Ever on the quest to live a healthier lifestyle, they came across this caffeine-free drink whilst running in Lebanon a number of years ago. Fast-forward a few years and Date Coffee was born, providing UK customers with a delicious coffee alternative.
One of DCC's goals is to have as low a carbon footprint as possible. We use only plant-based compostable coffee bags with no foil or plastic, FSC certified kraft corrugated cardboard envelopes/boxes and paper based tape. We believe enjoying good coffee doesn't need to be at the expense of the environment.
