The disc is round, about 25mm across, and made of aluminium. We stamp the words by hand using metal stamping, one character at a time, so the lettering has a slightly wobbly, made by a person look. A silver heart bubble charm sits beside it. If you want to make it more personal, you can add a charm stamped with an initial, in either a heart or circle shape.
Aluminium is a good choice for something that will spend a year rattling around the bottom of a rucksack. It is hypoallergenic and resists tarnishing, and it is a sound alternative to sterling silver. It stays light, so it will not add much to the luggage allowance.
