Every family has one person who is known for something. The one who is always late, always right, always hungry or always the first to start singing. Everybody knows it, and nobody would dream of putting it on a card. A mug is a much better place for it. This one is a dictionary entry with their name at the top, and underneath it you get to say exactly what they are like.
You choose the name and you choose the qualities, the best of them or the worst. Say it kindly, say it cheekily or say it with a wink and see who laughs first. It is an 11oz ceramic mug, and it is dishwasher and microwave safe, which means it will go through the same daily routine as everything else in the cupboard. We make each one to order by hand in our Suffolk studio, and the wording is set up for the person it is going to, so it will not be mistaken for anyone else’s.
Mugs travel a long way before they reach a kitchen, so we wrap each one carefully in tissue paper and bubble wrap before it goes into a sturdy cardboard box. If you would like it posted straight to the recipient, we can do that, and you are welcome to add a message that we will put in the package.
It is a good present for a friend, a husband or a brother or sister, and for anyone who can take a joke at their own expense. Most can, especially when it comes with tea.
