William Morris Ceramic Coasters

William Morris was a famous Victorian poet, author, conservationist, and designer who championed hand craftsmanship. From furniture to stained glass and textiles, Morris's designed have been continuously produced ever since.

Each of these ceramic coasters celebrates one of his beautifully intricate botanical designs in modern black and white (acorn, apple, larkspur and marigold).

The gloss-finish coasters are heat and water-resistant, but are not suitable for dishwashers due to the anti-slip cork backing. Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth. Coloured spills, such as coffee or red wine, should be cleaned with a cloth on contact to avoid staining.

A single coaster comes with a removable white paper wrap that slides off and says, 'A gift for you' so you don't have to do anything! A box of four coasters are packed together in a little white cardboard box that has a cut-out on the front so you can see the top coaster design.

Fun fact:- He and his close friend Edward Burne-Jones originally went to Oxford to study theology and become clergymen before a trip to France inspired them to pivot to art instead.
