Description

The steel bookmark is made in our forge using hammer & anvil, the stripy surface texture formed by repeated hammer strikes whilst the metal is red hot. Once cooled down the surface of the metal is hand sanded, polished, and then coated with wax to create a protective and attractive patina.

The result is an original and functional piece of art and the classiest bookmark in town!!

Variations

The bookmark is stripy on one side and can be hand-stamped on the roughly polished back with a few initials or digital date (12.1.12) - or left blank if you prefer.

The bookmark is treated with a protective wax, and we advise that it is kept from excessive moisture and wet conditions to keep it looking its best.
