Inspired by the British Manufacturing Processes before the days of synthetics, detergents, foaming agents, chemical colours and fragrances.
A traditional process means a traditional time scale – with each BLOCK taking over 6 weeks to produce.
We carefully blend plant-based oils with an alkali from sea water at exact temperatures to start making our small batch, top notch, British soap. This not only ensures each BLOCK is Natural, Vegan + Eco Friendly, but using each oil to their strength negates the need to use chemicals to fix cr*p soap.
Each BLOCK is supercharged with a variety of additional clays for polishing, and nourishments for feeding the skin such as Raw Cacao, Turmeric + Nettle. Full of vitamins, anti-oxidants or roughage, we take great soap to the next level.
CIVIL BLOCK uses only 100% essential oils. We do not touch the synthetics and cheap chemical fragrances that the industry is laden with. Some of what you put on your skin gets absorbed by your body – think it’s a good idea to rub that sh*t all over it?
Let’s face it. Soap has a job. Not a glam one.
It’s all well and good being sustainable, ethical + small batch, but if it doesn’t work, who cares?
Every BLOCK must pass 4 Checks:
1) A good hard, long lasting soap.
2) With a thick lather that stays put.
3) That cleans oils and grease brilliantly.
4) Leaving the skin fresh, moisturised and healthy.
