This super soft Mexican scarf is made of cotton dyed with banana skin and banana tree bark. Enjoy its lush texture, knowing it's ethically made.
This rebozo is made from soft yet super thick cotton. It works equally well as a blanket scarf, a warm wrap or an elegant pashmina. Handwoven in a traditional foot loom, the cotton is grown locally and dyed by hand with a local banana tree bark. The process is time consuming yet very eco-friendly and of low environmental impact.
Luxury scarves are the perfect gift - you can't go wrong in size and the uniqueness and ethical standards are a big plus.
A single rebozo can take up to 10 days to make. The fringes or tassels are then tied by hand to create a delicate macrame pattern, thus making each piece individual and unique.
Our mission is to play a small role in preserving these traditions for future generations by trading directly with the artisans, paying a fair price and donating part of all our profits back to the community.
Gift wrap: lovingly wrapped in a gift box with tissue paper, jute ribbon and Chilpa sticker. Can include a handwritten message.
