A very fun brooch inspired on the traditional Japanese mask called Hyottoko that is a symbol of good luck. This mask brooch is made of acrylic and inspired by the Hyottoko mask. Hyottoko is a popular, comical Japanese character known for a distinctive mask featuring a puckered, lopsided mouth and, often, eyes of different sizes. Representing a "fire man" (hi-otoko), he is considered a god of fire, a symbol of good luck, and a traditional, humorous dancer in festivals.
The brooch is made of three layers of acrylic and it's hand-painted. The acrylic has been cut and engraved in my own home using solar-powered energy.
Made from
Material: Acrylic and brooch.
The acrylics are made out of recycled acrylic from a local UK business.
To clean your piece, you can simply wipe everything with a glass cloth or soft cloth. Acrylic can be scratched very easily, so keep that in mind.
