    Product description

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue - and a sixpence for your shoe.

A traditional good luck gift given to the bride by her father before her wedding day, our lucky sixpence makes a lovely gift for a friend who's about to live happily ever after.

Minted in Britain from 1551 to 1967, the lucky sixpence is thought to be a British tradition dating back to the Victorian era. If the bride carries something old, new, borrowed, blue and a sixpence on her big day, she will have a happy marriage.

The sixpence is a charming keepsake which can be passed on from mother to daughter.

    Variations

Wrapped in white tissue and presented in a grey pouch with a little note card, the gift is completed with an exclusive Carriage Trade gift box.

We are happy to send your order directly to your recipient. A personal message can be added – this will be printed onto the gift receipt and enclosed with your order. No pricing information will be given.
