Black Sunrise is about creating products for individuals in the market who are often overlooked. From bald with sensitive skin, to the largest volumes struggling to find headwear that embraces them, the aim is to provide tools that people really need. All in order to support the hair journey that you deserve. Healthy hair, scalp and growth always comes first on my agenda. My name is Kamilah, I am a radiographer for the NHS. I started Black Sunrise because I was tired of not having the tools I needed to manage my natural hair and that passion developed into action for change. As so many of us with curly hair or afros, I have grown up balancing between what we have access to and what we really need. As this healthy hat journey continued I have been blessed to meet so many other individuals whose stories differ from my own. And yet what binds us is our desire to feel special, protected and seen. So now I design for the community, both those hidden and seen because everyone deserves hair TLC
