I grew up in East London, not really thinking about what to be when Iwas big, but I always, ALWAYS painted and doodled and crafted along with Tony Hart (love him!) It was no surprise to anyone when this passion became a career.

Betsy Benn was launched in 2010, and by the end of 2011 we had the biggest selling item on the whole of Notonthehighstreet - wowsers that took us by surprise! It was the classic destination print in case you were wondering. We very quickly had to move out of the spare bedroom, into a studio, and recruit a team of superheroes to support our mission of sustainably bringing joy and colour to the world. Just a tiny mission then. Over the years we've found that this really is our true calling. Our customers LOVE buying their friends and loved ones the perfect gift. A token or a grand gesture, it doesn't matter, as long as it is just right for them and says "I see you, I love you, and you're BRILLIANT". And we get to help make that happen. Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I don't think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport, (Sorry Hugh), instead I read the gift messages attached to our orders. Absolute heartmelters!

And now, together with Rachel & Katie, you can find me in the studio in Cheltenham: designing, painting, doodling, crafting and occasionally eating cake. Pop in for a slice.
