The project is designed for those that have enjoyed needle felting before but it is suitable for beginners too, as there are full photographic instructions that walk you through the project step-by-step. In fact, this kit offers a lovely challenge for anyone who enjoys making things with their hands.
Dry felting is fun and incredibly mindful. Like painting or knitting, the repetitive motions of needle felting allow you to slip out of your anxious thoughts and completely unwind.
All of our kits are designed and packaged by us, Katie & Rachel, in our studio in Hertfordshire. We make sure that each one is packed with love and looks pretty enough to give to someone special. And, as they come in postable boxes, we can send them straight to your loved ones for you!

The finished elephant is approximately 12cm high.
The box is 27cm x 17cm x 4cm
Made from
Inside your box you will find cruelty-free, high-quality wool roving and wool top in two colours - lovely, coarse Herdwick grey for the core and super-soft Ash grey merino for the top coat. There is also a specialist triangular-tipped felting needle, which is a good all-rounder for this type of project. There is a length of cotton covered armature wire for forming the posable trunks and tails of your elephants. There are full, detailed instructions, as well as our fool-proof beginners’ guide to needle felting for those who have never tried this hobby before.
You will need:
A soft surface to work on. A cushion or large sponge will do if you are just beginning. Or add one of our felting mats to your order.
This is not a toy. Anyone under the age of 14 should be supervised by an adult.
