A one-size robe crafted from two lengths of silk, with decorative hand embroidery down the centre-back and sides to create loose arm holes.

This robe is crafted from luxurious habutai silk, which has a liquid drape and flow. Each piece is individually folded, clamped, dyed and re-dyed by hand by two of India's foremost Master Artisans. Itajime is one technique of Shibori which uses pieces of wood clamped together around sections of folded fabric to resist the dye in particular shapes.

Clamp dye is a study in contrasts. Hard clamps give form to the fluid habutai silk. Unyielding wooden blocks translate into soft-edged, almost organic-looking geometric patterns dancing across the cloth. The rustic origins of our itajime fabric, hand crafted in the deserts of Western India, belies the luxury of each piece. The silk flows like water and is a pleasure on the skin. Each robe is made from a unique piece of silk, patterns will vary.
