Handmade with the finest rough gemstones and 14k gold fill chain.
The chunky peridot nuggets are beautiful raw, rough nuggets - if you like green stones, then you will love these! Each stone is unique, and although similar in size, shape and colour, they are natural, rough stones and some have brownish inclusions and rough surfaces, as you would expect with raw stones. The nugget measure approx 12-18mm.
Often called the 'evening emerald', peridot is the national gem of Egypt, and jewellery historians now believe that the emeralds Cleopatra was famous for wearing, were not actually emeralds after all, but rather peridot stones from Egypt.
Variations
Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August, and is said to be a stone of compassion - bringing good health, restful sleep and peace. It has a warm, friendly appearance, somehow, and can bring delight and good cheer. It is said to be a very powerful healing stone, as well as a protective, good luck talisman.

Fine layers of pure gold sheets are 'rolled' between layers of other metals (such as silver) and these layers bond together to form gold fill, or rolled gold, which contains layers pure gold rolled thoughout, right to the core.
