Our wonderful PR team is working hard to shine a spotlight on our 5,000 small creative business Partners, who need our help now more than ever. If you’re after images, product loans or interviews, simply email Charlie Sweeney or Phoebe Ede on [email protected].
We’re an online curated marketplace that’s home to over 5,000 of the UK’s best small creative businesses, who we like to call our Partners. Up and down the country – in workshops and home studios – they’re busy carving, baking, sourcing and making thoughtful gifts, unique homeware and original treat-yourself finds for over three million customers.
...but, wow, look how we’ve grown. Repping the sweat, sleepless nights (and sweet rewards) that go into setting up a new business, our founders Holly Tucker MBE and Sophie Cornish MBE started notonthehighstreet with a need for something never seen before. Cheese-shaped chocolate? Gin-and-tonic lip balm? Hand-stamped jewellery? Our Partners have certainly delivered.
We commissioned some independent research into the health of small businesses up and down the country (from local butchers to bakers and bicycle makers) and the results showed that over half are at risk of shutting up shop within the year. We can’t have that, can we? Especially after how hard small businesses have worked this year to provide us with one-of–a-kind finds that, well, you won’t see on the high street.
You can find us – under normal circumstances – at our home in Richmond, South West London. notonthehighstreet is led by CEO Claire Davenport and Chaired by retail veteran Darren Shapland. It is backed by media and technology company Hubert Burda Media and venture capitalists including Index Ventures, Industry Ventures and Eight Roads Ventures.
From imagery to expert opinions, we’re here to help with whatever you need. Lifestyle and cut-out shots to illustrate your piece? Sure thing. Statement pieces to dress a set? You got it. A trend expert or opinion on small business? You’re in the right place. Contact [email protected] and we’ll be more than happy to help.
