Hi! My name's Toby Howes and I run a fine furniture business making one off designer pieces for exhibitions, galleries and art collectors. I have a wonderful workshop in a picturesque old school house in the Cotswold countryside near Bath and have won several awards for my furniture. My company ethos is 'more than meets the eye' and, whether that is a hidden feature or a deceptively simple design, I'm inspired by ideas that lift everyday objects to a new level.

As much as I love making large furniture, I'm so encouraged by the general movement away from mass manufactured products towards an appreciation of unique, handmade pieces that I really wanted to design a range of items that made high end design more accessible. To this end, I have created a range of affordable wine racks and memory boxes. This is just the beginning, I'm constantly creating so watch this space for new designs!

Every piece that leaves my workshop is hand crafted and finished and I'm very happy to personalise or customise items on request. As an ex-ecologist, protecting the environment is very important to me and so you can be reassured that I use only sustainably sourced mateials approved by the FSC.
