Our wooden sand tray is the perfect learning resource to delvelop early mark making and letter formation. Using sand is a tactile and sensory way to help your child become confident with forming letters and numbers. They can use their finger or the writing stick to make marks in the sand which can be easily wiped away. This encourages them to practice and not worry about making mistakes.

Our sand tray is 30cm long and 14cm wide. It is made from beech wood and is sanded smooth to touch.
It comes with a small bag of play sand and a wooden tracing stick which is 10cm long.

Our sand tray is made from FSC certified solid beech wood. It has been sanded smooth to touch and finished with raw oil. The sand is childrens play sand which has been CE tested.
Please be careful when using our tracing boards that no pens or pencils are used to trace over the shapes/lines. Although there is a protective oil on it, it can leave a mark or stain. If you are using resources which have been dyed please make sure they are completely dry before putting them on your board. Do not use water directly on our wooden learning resources. As with all wooden objects if immersed or soaked in water over time it will damage the wood.
Our wooden learning resources are finished with a Raw Natural oil which is a pure natural non-toxic oil. This makes it highly resistant to water and food stuffs. We do recommend that if you are using your board regularly you may want to oil the surface again after 6 months or so.
All our products are CE and UKCA tested and appropiate from age 2+
