Hello! I’m so pleased you found us and hope you find that The Indytute is a bit different - a bit fun, a bit quirky and a bit cool! We handpick our experiences because we are excited by them. They either give you that warm glow or the wow factor and they are all run by brilliant, talented people who love what they do. Our favourite gifts have always been experiences and having fun making memories with friends and loved ones (and not spending your hard earned money on 'stuff' that is not really wanted or needed!)

My Story

Memories over Materials.

I’m Calypso Rose (yep, that’s my real name). Before founding The Indytute, I ran Clippykit - a customisable handbag brand that took off in the UK and beyond, winning awards from ITV and The Daily Mail. But by 30, I’d hit peak stuff. So I licensed the brand, moved onto a canal boat, and launched something new: The Indytute - Indy as in independent, Tute as in tutor.

Our mission? Ditch the stuff. Make lasting memories. We create joyful, bite-sized experiences that bring people together to laugh and learn - nothing long or serious, just brilliantly good times.

We launched in Selfridges with 90 workshops in 90 days (yes, including 40 ukulele players in the bedding section). Fast forward: hundreds of partnerships with brilliant independents, from chefs to comedians.

Because you can only be a one-woman band for so long, we've now joined forces with the fabulous Activity Superstore. Offering even better good times and a personal service.
