The Cheese Merchant was founded by George Lang in 2017, who grew up on a dairy farm in Somerset. From a young age, he understood the struggles of the British dairy industry. Having trained at a Michelin-star restaurant as a chef, he quickly saw the need for supplying the highest quality produce with the best possible service, at all times.
After moving out of kitchens into the cheese industry, George discovered how many fantastic producers there are across the country. We share the same passion for great quality, provenance, and most importantly, supporting British farmers. By choosing us, you will be supporting local businesses and reducing your carbon footprint at the same time.
