Handmade vegan, natural and environmentally friendly soaps and skincare.
Soap Daze was started at my kitchen table in Exeter, Devon, 10 years ago this year. I began making soap when my children were small as I realised at the time that liquid soap was basically water plus a load of unnecessary and unnatural ingredients. Some of them were not only bad for the environment but also for the skin that they were designed to clean.
I have a science background so set about making my own soaps from natural, vegan ingredients and essential oils, something that wasn’t really around at the time. I created my own recipes and made my first batch. We had a lot more soap than we needed from the batch so I gave some to friends and family. When they started coming back and asking for more it gave me the confidence that it could be a business.
As we continue to grow, I have developed a line of vegan skincare to complement the soaps. Last year I opened my first shop on one of the most independent streets in Exeter so please pop in to say hi if you are ever in the city.
