A classic glass design revisited in a set of colours.
Beldi means 'country' in Morocco. It comes from the word 'bled meaning 'village'. These traditional design of glasses could have been forgotten and replaced by cheap imports, but thanks to a revival of the riad hospitality together with a desire for authenticity, the only workshop left producing these glasses is still very active.
These glasses are perfect for dinking water or juice, or any fruit cocktails.
You can also use them for flower vases, or crayon pots.
This set has been produced in a variety of iridescent colours, which give them even more uniqueness. We offer them in four colours: grey, amber, gold, and red, and soon we'll add charcoal and blue.
These glasses are exclusively made from recycled glass originating from broken windows. In the courtyard of the workshop there is a mountain of broken glass to be use as raw material. Then the workshop it self is a testimony of a bygone era of pure raw labour. All glasses are mouth blown with incredible skill. The company is a family business. By buying these glasses you are supporting a truly fantastic enterprise.
Handmade in Morocco and 100% recycled.
