Bring distinctive tropical character into your home with the impressive Platycerium bifurcatum, commonly known as the Staghorn Fern. This unusual evergreen fern features two distinctive types of foliage, including rounded basal fronds and branching grey-green fertile fronds that develop the characteristic antler-like shape responsible for its common name.
Supplied in a 17cm pot with a 2Ltr capacity, the Staghorn Fern makes an eye-catching addition to living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms and other warm indoor spaces. Naturally an epiphyte, this fascinating fern grows on trees in its native habitat, giving it a particularly distinctive appearance compared with conventional foliage houseplants.
The Staghorn Fern thrives in bright, indirect light with good humidity and careful watering. It is also an excellent option for homes with pets, as Platycerium bifurcatum is listed by ASPCA as non-toxic to both cats and dogs.

GROWING TIP
Position your Staghorn Fern in bright, indirect or filtered light and provide good humidity. A bright bathroom can provide particularly suitable humidity for this type of epiphytic fern.
