Why not come and bash some metal and let the sparks fly! There is definitely something very satisfying and empowering in making your own hammer that you can use every day. If you love a bit of DIY or are a tradesperson, this is the perfect experience day for you.

Please bear in mind this is one of our most complex packages. For those who are not convinced blacksmithing is for them, however would like to share the experience from a distance, our woodland and showroom are available with a viewing area.

Our chef creates hearty, wholesome lunches using ingredients from local suppliers, proudly supporting the businesses in our community.

Savour your meal in the lively atmosphere of the café, retreat to the cosy Forge Den, or soak up the countryside views from our Woodlands Huts. Alongside your lunch, enjoy hot or cold drinks, indulgent cakes, and tempting snacks. all crafted or sourced from producers we are proud to support.

Our Forge your own Hammer experience is the perfect 'Him or Her Gift' and also for small group parties who want to come and learn a traditional craft.

The day is very “hands-on”, enabling you to craft your very own hammer head for you to use and admire. You will get to forge and harden your hammer head and time permitting, we will help you to fit your own handle if time allows.

We have a range of hammer heads available to make including: Cross Pein, Straight Pein, Rounding, Mini Sledge, Ball-pein, Claw. If you have specific design in mind, please do get in touch and we can let you know whether it is achievable within the time frame you are with us.

Our Hammer Making Workshop Does Allow A Max Of Two People To Work Together To Make One Hammer, Although You Are More Than Welcome To Attend As A Solo. The Perfect Gift For An Individual or Couple.

This is a fantastic 7 hours of fun, taught in a relaxed and friendly environment, where you will be made to sweat but will leave at the end of the day with a hammer head you can cherish forever - along with a special story to be told. Please be aware that weekends do get booked very quickly, so please book well in advance for outside of week days!
