The birch plywood square is personalised with a pale green or light blue painted heart and overprinted with the map. The map design is digitally created with the map centred on any location in the world. You could choose the location of a first date, wedding, or holiday.

The birch ply wood I use is sourced from a sustainable supply, it has a pale blonde hue and a very subtle grain that complements the muted chalk paint colours I have selected for this range. The paints used are Farrow and Ball paints in the following shades: Green (Farrow and Ball colour French Grey No 18); Blue (Farrow and Ball colour Light Blue No.22). Whichever paint colour you choose each hand made map is unique and carefully finished and protected with a layer of matt varnish.

Ordering your personalised map is simple: Using the drop down menu select the colour of the heart required then enter the location details, including place name and postcode, in the location box. Each map varies but as a rule the maps cover an area of 1km x 1km, so please bear this in mind when selecting a location.

This item is small enough to stand on a shelf or mantlepiece but can also be hung on the wall. It is supplied with a brass hanger for easy hanging from a picture pin or nail. I also offer this item framed in a simple unglazed white or black wood profile. This gives the artwork a contemporary style and adds to the aesthetic of the finished print.
