Let Nature In! Every week is a brand new composition using the best in season of British, locally sourced flowers and foliage.
Sophie trained in floristry in New Zealand, ran a wedding flower business in London, as well as having a long career in nature conservation. After moving to Dorset with a young family, Sophie created MeadowSweet Posies as a way to combine these two passions and celebrate the diversity and beauty of British, seasonal flowers.
Each week, Sophie seeks seasonal inspiration from nature to include gems in her posies that reconnect us with the outside world and that you won't find on any high street!
She enjoys the challenge of just using British seasonal flowers and foliage, and believes this makes for authentic, honest arrangements that encourage us to admire and connect with nature, and therefore to care about it.
Sustainability is at our core
We source 100% British flowers all year round, predominantly from the South West of England. Sourcing flowers this way eliminates air-miles associated with imported flowers and helps to keep a low carbon footprint. British grown flowers have been shown to have a 90% lower carbon footprint than air-freighted imported blooms.
Our posies come in UK-made glass jars made with over 33% recycled glass content. Cardboard is unbleached and made with recycled content and all packaging can be recycled and composted. Stickers and flower food sachets are plant-based. Flower stems are kept hydrated during travel in an eco flower pouch.
