Description
A cream and gold bauble hand-embroidered with peacock-feather colour and mirror detail — a calm, joyful piece of festive craft.Aarav means "peaceful" and "calm" — a fitting name for this richly embroidered bauble, whose warm cream base is brought to life with peacock-feather stitching in red, teal and blue, finished with delicate mirrorwork and a hand-wrapped gold cord seam. It's a beautifully tactile piece for anyone drawn to handcrafted, story-led decor: lovely on a tree, grouped in a bowl, or given as a gift to someone who'll appreciate the detail up close. Made individually by Marisha in her UK studio from reclaimed fabric, no two are quite the same — each one carries its own small, calming charm.
Made from
Each Aarav bauble begins with a lightweight ball base, hand-covered in warm cream fabric sourced from reclaimed and offcut textiles as part of Marisha's sustainability-led approach to materials. The surface is then hand-embroidered with peacock-feather stitching in red, teal and blue thread, accented with mirrorwork (shisha/abla embroidery) and finished with a hand-wrapped gold cord seam and a decorative gold cap with hanging loop. The colour and embroidery style draw on traditional Indian textile craft, reimagined as a contemporary decorative piece.
Care: dust gently with a soft, dry cloth; avoid prolonged moisture and direct sunlight to protect the colour and metallic threads; store wrapped in tissue or soft fabric when not on display.
