The Making Meadows Story - Made in Surrey, Since 2019

Making Meadows is an eco friendly stationery studio founded in 2019 and based in Surrey, UK, creating pretty but practical luxury paper goods designed to make everyday moments feel more special. Each stationery collection begins as an original hand painted illustration and is then transformed into luxury stationery, wrapping paper, greeting cards and writing paper. Products are professionally printed in small batches in our studio, allowing every order to be carefully checked, wrapped and packed with attention to detail.

The brand was founded with a simple aim, to offer beautiful stationery without compromising on values. Making Meadows prioritises lower waste production by printing on demand, reducing overstock and unnecessary waste. Materials are chosen with care, including sourcing our writing paper and wrapping paper from FSC certified suppliers, using recycled UK made Kraft envelopes, and plastic free packaging.

At its heart, Making Meadows celebrates the joy of thoughtful paper goods, from writing a handwritten note to wrapping a gift in something truly lovely. Every order is made with care in Surrey and sent out with the same attention and pride as if it were being received by a friend.

We care about quality & sustainability

Creating high quality products that last the test of time are important to us as a company. It is key that are products are not only pretty to look at but are functional too. Sustainability is at the heart of our business. Our kraft envelopes are made from recycled paper & our packaging is plastic free. We are not perfect, but we try to be the best we can be. Everything is designed, manufactured & dispatched in the UK, from our little studio in Surrey. We like it this way, as it means we can check each & every order before it gets sent out.

Samantha has a background in illustration. Having studied at university, she then went on to become a greeting card designer, followed by a product designer. After a few years as a design manager she decided it was time to try & make her dream of owning a company a reality. That is how Making Meadows was founded. With many years experience in the industry, starting a company came naturally to her!
