Le Ekhaya is an accessories brand created by designer Unique Sibanda. Unique is a Fashion designer and creative who loves to think outside the box to create amazing innovative pieces.

As a creative Unique is always looking for new ways to express her very individual style and making a bold statement with intricately wound pieces she helps every woman find their uniqueness.

Each piece is handmade in our Hitchin Studios, with attention to detail to create stunning statement pieces.

We use satin embroidery thread to wind on pvc tubing. All materials are sourced locally as Unique is a true believer in supporting local businesses.

We draw inspiration from the Ndebele Tribe in South Africa. The Ndebele are known for their distinctive aztec patterns and colourful wall paintings, which they have passed from generation to generation. Unique uses a very simple technique of winding embroidery thread similar to the hairstyles worn by young children in africa.
