Inspired by my son, lal & nil represents the merging of cultures: a Spanish married to a Bangladeshi & our Australian born son, we now call the UK home.

We are a London-based baby and toddler lifestyle label, founded by Georgina, a qualified Interior Designer (Design Centre Enmore - Sydney, Australia). Her experience working in the industry saw her designing bespoke joinery, furniture, and lighting for discerning clients.

After the birth of her son, her passion for designing products & textile patterns developed further, and she created a concept-driven range of homewares for babies and kids that represents multiculturalism and her family's cultural backgrounds in a contemporary and meaningful way.

We strive to create unique pieces by designing them in house and working hand in hand with our makers to bring them to life. All products are crafted ethically: our clothing line is made in Bangladesh, in a socially responsible factory that follows the Ethical Trading Initiative guidelines. The decor range is made in jute and rattan by family-run artisans businesses or by Fair Trade Organisations.
