Jack and Jess is named after founder Ann Martin's grandparents. They married in 1939 (three days after the declaration of World War II) and spent just 24 hours together as newlyweds before being separated for 4 difficult years. After the war they were reunited and life returned to normal. A creative couple - Jack was a keen fisherman, furniture maker and Pipe Major for the Scouts and Jess spent her spare time playing the piano and loved musicals. Celebrating over 50 years together, we think the warmth of their long and happy marriage is truly inspirational. Every Jack & Jess design is inspired by their real life love story.
