Modern map needlepoint kit of the London underground is with easy-to-follow printed canvas, in the basic half cross stitch.

It is to be stitched with 1 strand of Appleton’s 4 ply tapestry wool (& a little bit of Anchor wool) which gives a chunky, hand-crafted finish.

Tapestry is not complicated. Its simplicity is its charm, what makes it so therapeutic and relaxing. I have used the most basic needlepoint stitch, the half cross stitch. So whether you are a beginner or an experienced stitcher, please come have a go…
